Products We Formulate

The following list comprises the types of products for which we can provide formulation assistance and their respective applications:

Application used
Products Type
Function
Hand Disinfection
Hand sanitizer (also known as hand antiseptic)
For general hand hygiene when soap and water are not available.
Surgical handrub
For professional hand hygiene during preparation of surgical operation.
Surface Disinfection
Ready-to-use Surface Disinfectant
For disinfecting the surface without any dilution required. It can be surface of floors and/or medical devices, depends on the application used and the efficacy of the product.
Surface Disinfectant Concentrate
For disinfecting the surface after the recommendation of dilution had been made.
Instrument Disinfection
Instrument Disinfectant
For disinfecting or even sterilizing the surgical instrument or medical device.
If applied on semi-critical devices, high level disinfectant will be required. If applied on critical devices, sterilization is required.
Enzymatic Cleaning
Enzymatic Cleaner
Aid in the cleaning and decontamination of medical devices and other medical equipment and utensils.
Enzymes (proteases, amylases and lipases) help to break down soil at a neutral pH

The following examples illustrate categories of disinfection processes and the potential microbial inactivation based on a journal referencing the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for Disinfection and Sterilization in Healthcare Facilities.

Process
Level of Microbial Inactivation
Sterilization
Destroys all microorganisms, including bacterial spores.Sterilization is required for all critical medical devices or surgical instruments that penetrate soft tissue or bone (scalpel blades, bone chisels, surgical burs, extraction forceps, and periodontal scalers).
High-Level Disinfection
Destroys all microorganisms except some bacterial spores.High-level disinfectants are often used for semi-critical devices. Examples include – flexible gastroscopes and bronchoscopes.
Intermediate-Level Disinfection
Destroy viruses, mycobacteria, fungi, and vegetative bacteria, except necessarily bacterial spores.Intermediate-level disinfectants are also appropriate for non-critical medical devices, horizontal surfaces, and floors.
Low-level Disinfection
Destroys vegetative bacteria and some fungi and viruses but not mycobacteria or sporesLow-level disinfectants are appropriate for non-critical medical devices and environmental surfaces. Examples include – stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs.
